Sometimes a store looks great in ads but the real product is completely different. Many times I avoided a bad purchase just by reading a few careful comments. Shipping speed is not everything, but extremely slow delivery is very annoying. I also pay attention to return policy and customer service response time. Now I try to read as many real user reviews as possible before I buy anything. I also think about how easy it is to track a parcel once it ships.
